First session

Attended the very first 'grooming class' yesterday. There were 8 guys and girls in total, from different discipline within the hospital. Doctors, radiologist, nurses and pathologist.

I must say that the girls are quite chio, with the exception of one or two that belong in the same category as me. The "Don't know what the heck we are doing here category".

As for the guys, almost most were above average looking. Good thing that there weren't any Bay Yong Jun or Jude Law look alike ard, otherwise it will really make me look fugly, ha ha.

Now, one of my previous poly nursing course mate was also selected. This guy who I'll named JS is married with a kid, but he never mention them to almost anyone. He thinks that he is god's gift to woman, he is definitely not good looking but has a good physique. More abt this narcissistic dude next time.

The trainer is this guy, Gary, effeminate but rather funny. He sometimes have problems enunciating his words, you know, instead of Zoe Tay it becomes Joe Tae, and has hokkien accent peppered here and there. He kept the session alive with his corny jokes, some were lame some were funny but it was all entertaining.

We were taught abt standing posture, the do and don'ts and some elementary catwalking. We were told how to position our heads and hands, where to focus our eyeline. And everyone has to strut down the rehearsing hall for all to see. I think I looked really gong when it was my turn, i have to psyche myself up to face the hordes of staring eyes. In my mind I kept thinking, "Fuck it, fuck it. Have a gd time, don't care if I make a fool of myself." Oh yah, and the music CD they played, using those cover versions, I mean imagine Kylie Minouge's Can't Get You Outta My Head, but sung by someone in a cheesy karaoke version! Cannot get a proper CD meh? So by focusing on that, it helped calm some nerves during the walk.

I would say that by the end of the session, most of my inhibitions of this competition have disappeared, well at least for now. Simply because I know that I won't win. Oui! Before you say I have no confidence, I'm a practical person and I know where I stand. Since I'm gonna be here making up the numbers, I'm might as well have a good time, after all there are make over sessions and stuff, and I get to have glimpses of what all this classes are abt, heh heh.
